JP.com goes mobile, and Tweets!

March 26th, 2010 , Jim Panzer

OK, so either one of those things should really be considered new and exciting, but seeing as how I am a little behind the times these day, I’ll make believe they are!  I just installed two pretty cool plug-ins from Brave New Code.  The first is WPtouch, a WordPress plug in that converts your site into an iPhone or iTouch friendly version, and in the process loads it MUCH faster.  I like it so far, the only thing is that it doesn’t seem to handle content management system (CMS) sites very well, the only way I could get it to work was to set my blog as the first and only page.  This could very well be due to my theme though, so I can’t completely blame the plug-in.  I am guessing it’s going to work just as well on the iPad since it’s pretty much the same thing but bigger.

The next plug-in is WordTwit.  I’ll admit I’m not much of a twitterer…but this plug-in might change all that.  It’ll take any posts you make and automatically Tweet them out to your thousands of adorning fans…or in my case, all three (yes this includes my Mom).

Both were very easy to set up and come with a bunch of behind the scenes option and settings!
